The Coppice Leisure Park is proud to announce its latest accolade – the coveted Special Species Wildlife Challenge award. This prestigious recognition comes as part of the David Bellamy Blooming Marvellous Pledge for Nature program, celebrating the park's commitment to preserving and enhancing local wildlife habitats.

The Special Species Wildlife Challenge is awarded to parks that go above and beyond in supporting at-risk species and creating thriving ecosystems. The Coppice Leisure Park’s dedication to fostering a diverse and sustainable environment for plants, animals, and insects has been rewarded with this highly respected achievement.

A Haven for Wildlife

The Coppice has implemented a range of conservation projects designed to protect and encourage native wildlife. From installing bird nesting boxes and planting pollinator-friendly flowers, the park has become a haven for a variety of species, including endangered insects, birds, and small mammals.

David Bellamy Blooming Marvellous Pledge for Nature

The award is part of the wider David Bellamy Blooming Marvellous Pledge for Nature, a renowned environmental initiative encouraging parks across the UK to take practical steps to protect the natural environment. The initiative is led by the late Professor David Bellamy’s legacy of promoting conservation and sustainable tourism.

By joining the Pledge for Nature, The Coppice Leisure Park committed to a series of eco-friendly practices aimed at protecting wildlife, reducing environmental impact, and promoting sustainability.
